“Laboratory meets practice” successful Vaxxinova Symposium
This year’s symposium took place on November 28th at the hotel Heidegrund in Garrel and on November 29th in the BioCity Leipzig. The events were well attended by a total of 86 participants. Speakers at both locations were Prof. Bernd Kaspers of the LMU München, the “Pig whisperer” Dr. Kees Scheepens and Dr. Adrian Lührs from Vaxxinova. Prof. Kaspers lectured on the interesting topic “vaccination and immune response”, Dr. Scheepens entertaining talk dealt with the topic “pig signals, early identification of clinically ill animals ” and Dr. Lührs reported about the current state in typing of bacterial pathogens. Additionally there was a short update on Rotavirus diagnostics by Oliver Wenske, Vaxxinova.
